Virtualization (Hyper-V / Proxmox) Setup

What is virtualization?

Virtualization means running several isolated virtual servers (virtual machines) on a single physical server. Each virtual machine has its own operating system, applications and dedicated resources (CPU, memory, disk). Hardware is used more efficiently, new server needs are met quickly, and backup and recovery become easier.

Which platforms do we install?

• Microsoft Hyper-V: the virtualization platform included with Windows Server, suited to Windows-based infrastructures, Active Directory and Microsoft applications.
• Proxmox VE: an open-source virtualization platform that manages KVM virtual machines and LXC containers from a single interface, suited to businesses that want a powerful infrastructure without licence costs.

Virtual firewall

For businesses that choose virtualization, we can also install the firewall as a virtual machine instead of a separate appliance. We install and configure Fortinet, Sophos, Berqnet and pfSense firewalls in the virtual environment and protect your network, VPN connections and internet access through them.
